| Week of August 8th, 2010 | So, it's been a year since I finished school (on Aug. 14th). Doesn't seem that way, time goes by so quickly. August 10th will be one year since slicing my finger with an X-Acto knife, while I was getting ready for my Portfolio Show. Just a fun fact, LOL. Shout out: Congrats to my baby brother Kyle, for getting into the University of North Carolina for Computer Engineering! I'm so proud of you... I love you very much. My current favorite song is: Winter Sun by Dishwalla (click to listen) |
| Week of July 25th, 2010 | Well, I'm settled into my new place in Gloucester, but I really miss my friends back in Boston. I have been working on updating my website again, and keeping busy by going to the dojo almost every day. Since I've been out of training for so long, I am going through a re-training process. Over the next 6 months or so, I am going through all the ranks all over again, from white belt to black belt. It was funny, seeing the looks on the faces of my students when I walked into the dojo wearing a white belt, LOL! Also, the one-year anniversary since launching this website is coming up on the 31st. The site has come a long way since then, I am very proud of it, but it will always be a work in progress. I will be adding some Flash interactivity very soon to make it easier to view my portfolio and easier to navigate. Stay tuned! |
| Month of July 2010 | A lot happening this month... I moved back to Gloucester (student loans, rent, bills... it was getting a bit much to handle). My grandfather very graciously gave me an apartment he had available next door, for FREE! But of course, I will miss my friends back in Brighton. I am taking lots of freelance work until I land that dream job! Shout out: Happy 21st Birthday to my dear friend Mike on July 20th, I love you and have a great b-day. |
| Month of June 2010 | Not much happening in the working world, but I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed! My BFF Mike took me there and took care of my after... thanks Mike! I was really scared to get this done, I'm a pansy when it comes to getting any kind of surgery. But it went better than I expected... I almost passed out going in, then next thing I knew, I was coming out of it and it was all over... I didn't remember a thing. I was in some discomfort for a few days after (but of course I had pain killers), but there was no bruising and little swelling and I'm healing well. Glad that's over with! Shout out: Happy Birthday to my Nana on June 9th... now officially a senior citizen LOL!; Happy 18th Birthday to my little brother Kyle on June 16th... I can't believe your'e now an adult, seems like yesterday I was changing your diapers haha! I love you very much. |
| Month of May 2010 | Hey everyone! So I finally got to walk on May 8th at NEiA's commencement ceremony, after finishing my studies back in August... YAY! Pictures are posted in my gallery, more coming soon (click here). Thanks to those who made it, and a special thank you to my BFF Mike for being there and taking pictures <3. I also attended the awards ceremony the night before, I was recognized for excellence in tutoring. I will miss tutoring Business Math... NOT! Lol's... enjoy the photos. :) |
| Month of April 2010 | Still busy with work, not much else. I am planning on making some major updates to my website over the next month or so, including adding a web section. Also, my graduation ceremony is coming up very soon, I'm getting excited! Shout out: Happy Birthday to a long-lost friend of mine, Andrew, on April 9th... I really hope we get back in touch someday; Happy 18th birthday to my cousin Tyler on April 12th; and... Happy b-day to ME on April 15th (that's right, I'm a Tax baby, haha). |
| Month of March 2010 | I've been super busy with freelance work all month, and it's kinda nice. The CityView website is almost done, Mike and I make quite a team! Oh, and... we both decided that Dreamweaver is a... ummm... right, can't say since I'm trying to keep this site semi-professional LOL. Let's just say that it's been a pain to work with... WYSIWYG? Not quite. Hopefully DW CS5 will be much improved. Shout out: April 5th would be my Dad's 48th birthday... Love you and miss you Dad, Happy Birthday. |
| Month of February 2010 | Well, as you can see, nothing new or interesting has been happening lately (nothing I can post here, anyway). My updates will be less frequent unless I have something important to post. I'm still doing the freelance thing, and I've decided not to let the job market bother me too much... the right job will come along when the time is right. Currently I am working on a couple of projects for UNTHA Shredding Technologies, and working on a web site for City View Trolleys along with my BFF Mike, since he can do the HTML coding that I can't. It's coming along perfectly so far. Shout out: Happy 45th Birthday to my Mom on February 26th! Getting old? Nah, not yet. You've still got a ways to go... you're younger than some of my friend's parents, who are like Nana's age LOL! |
| Week of January 4th, 2010 | Happy New Year, everyone! My New Year's resolution? Land a kick-ass job and don't gain any weight! I'm freelancing for now, not bad because I'm on my own schedule. I'm still working on websites for my friends Katie and Mike... waiting for them to give me more content. Come on you two! Shout out: To my Dad, who passed 10 years ago on January 12th, you are missed so very much; Happy 9th Birthday to my nephew Hunter on January 14th, how did you get so big so fast? Unbelievable... please don't get any older, LOL! |
| Week of December 20th, 2009 | Here is my 2009 Holiday cards for you: ChristmasCard09 ; HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone, and be safe! So, updates... it seems the job thing has hit a dead end, so I will be taking lots of freelance work for the time being. On another note, the site I've been working on for my dear friend Mike is finally up and running, check it out at www.fmwproductions.com. I also gave him the Christmas gift I've been working on for the past 3 weeks, so I'm finally able to post it here! Check it out in the Digital Imaging section. I'm so happy with it, it came out awesome and I hope to do more projects like this. Mike, I hope you will enjoy this forever and ever, and I'm so happy you like it! ^.^ Merry Christmas! |
| Week of December 6th, 2009 | Is it December already? Really...? Where did the year go? I started working on another web site for my friend Katie Brown (Brownie Productions), it has a very cute theme and I like it. The gift I've been working on for my BFF Mike is finally done, I just have to wait until Christmas to give it to him. That's right Mike, you're just gonna have to WAIT! You're not getting any hints, so don't even try! Lately I've been having the urge to write. Journaling, unsent letters, poetry, and short stories. I don't know if my poetry is any good, I'll post a couple just for the hell of it. These two poems, "If Only" and "Just Waiting", are for someone anonymous. If you want to comment on these, please post a private message in the comments section. |
| Week of November 22nd, 2009 | My site is finally done! Well, it's never really done, since I will keep adding things and posting updates. But, construction is complete, and I am so excited! It took a long time and a lot of work, but it was worth it. So what do you think? Please tell me in the comments section! So, now what do I do to pass the time? Well, I've been working on things for other people (mostly friends). I've been creating ID packages and constructing websites, free of charge (as a personal favor to a few of my close friends). I enjoy doing it, it's a learning experience. I've been working on a site for my dear friend Mike (FMW Productions), it's coming along very nicely. I'm particularly proud of the ID package I put together for him a couple months ago, so the site follows the same theme. I'm also working on an awesome Christmas present for him, which will be posted as soon as I give it to him. Let's just say, it's one of the best projects I've ever done! |
| Week of November 15th, 2009 | Job search update: I had an interview at Paid, Inc. recently. I thought it went pretty well, they seemed to like my work and I enjoyed talking with them. I was introduced to the President of the company, which is usually a good sign. The company does mostly web work, which is something I am definately interested in learning more about, although web is sometimes a pain in the... well, you know. I recently got an email from Jim Krause, a well known graphic designer who has written a very popular series of books known as the "Index" series. He evaluated my web site, and gave me some valuable constructive critisism that I will seriously consider the next time my site gets an overhaul. Cool, huh? |
| Week of November 8th, 2009 | I've been continually updating my web site in the meantime, and hanging out with my friends. We had a VERY interesting game of Truth or Dare recently, but I'm not getting into details. >:) |
| Week of October 26th, 2009 | Nothing interesting to report this week, but I'll keep you updated if anything comes up. Shout out: Happy 13th Birthday to my youngest brother & sister, Jason & Jacquelyn (10/28). R.I.P to my Nana Jean, who passed one year ago on 10/30, you are loved and missed very much. |
| Week of October 12th, 2009 | Yeah, I know it's been a couple of weeks since I posted... get over it. LOL, jk. I'm finally all settled into my new apartment in Brighton, for the most part. I like it here so far, my roommates seem pretty cool. |
| Week of September 28th, 2009 | Job search, job search, job search, job search. Yup, still at it... I'm not giving up yet! I know I have a lot to offer whatever company I work for, but unfortunately, they don't know that yet. I know my dream job will happen, I just have to be persistent and patient at the same time. I moved into my new apartment in Brighton... nice neighborhood, I think I'll like it here. Shout out: Happy Birthday to my Nana Jean (9/28, R.I.P.), and my sister Stephanie (9/29) |
| Week of September 21st, 2009 | Yup, still job searching. I am utilizing all of my contacts and resources... it's tough out there! The graphic design field is very competetive, but so am I! To make my search a little easier, I decided to take an apartment in Brighton, right above where some of my friends live. Maybe being a little closer to the action will bring me some more luck with the job search. We shall see! |
| Week of September 14th, 2009 | Job search update: I got one response so far, let's hope this moves forward! I have updated my website again and I am working on putting together an interactive PDF portfolio. A lot of work but it will be worth it! During my free time I have been making XMA weapons tutorials and posting them on YouTube. Check them out here! |
Week of September 7th, 2009 |
Still job searching, no luck yet. Perhaps it's time to utilize my contacts and resources! My website has been updated again, it's coming along slowly but surely. Wow this job search thing can be frustrating... I've been keeping up with my martial arts training to blow off steam and stay in shape. It's amazing how much flexibility you lose after not training for a few months. |
Week of September 1st, 2009 |
Ok, time to start job searching! My resume is updated to reflect my graduation from NEiA, and I will be working on my website during my free time. Wish me luck! Also, grad party photos are posted! You may view them in my MobileMe Gallery, and download the ones you want. Enjoy! |
Month of August 2009 |
Wow, August was a crazy busy month! My final few weeks of college was nothing but putting together my portfolio and getting ready for the Portfolio Show. The show went well, despite my finger injury just four days prior (I had a nasty X-Acto knife accident while I was slicing up my business cards, went to the hospital and got 5 stitches... whoops!). A few days after the show I moved out of the dorms and back home to Gloucester. I was sad to leave, I will miss being an RA and I will miss all my friends! The last day in August was my graduation party, which couldn't have gone better. It was awesome, my grandmother worked hard planning it, and everyone had fun. Now it's time for the real world! |
Announcement: My RSS feed for this page has finally been created! I hand-coded it myself, believe it or not. |
